Bird acquisition for shows and exhibits
For clients needing to purchase birds for their facilities, Feathered Friends can assist. All birds come with a full veterinarian heath check, micro chipped and if required trained to what ever level you desire. If requested Feathered Friends can acquire and train birds to form a complete show.
Assessment of current shows
Feathered Friends can send experienced qualified staff to a client’s facility to observe and assess their current shows and after consultation with their staff, make recommendations for improvement. Our recommendations will allow clients to maximise the opportunity of positively imprinting visitors to their facility with empowering memories of birds performing natural behaviours that they would not normally have the opportunity of witnessing.
Show production
Whether you need to enhance your current show or develop a complete new one, Feathered Friends can help. Our experience and knowledge allows us to develop shows that are a highly educational and interactive experience; shows that will leave viewers exhilarated and keen to discover more.
Shows are not only a great gateway to provide an enormous amount of enjoyment for visitors to your facility but are also extremely rewarding for the birds that are involved in the shows. The training the birds receive for the shows is a great source of enrichment, offering not only mental stimulation but physical as well. During the bird’s training sessions and shows, they are able to perform natural behaviours such as soaring high in the sky or swooping down to snatch food out of the air, these birds would not normally be able to carry out such behaviours within the confines of their enclosures.
Training for staff and birds
Feathered Friends is ideally placed to offer our knowledge and expertise in providing training to assist clients Australia wide, in reaching their goals and keeping their business moving forward. We can work with you to assess your staff and facility to assist you in developing and implementing a training program that best fits your facilities requirements. For your birds, Feathered Friends provides training consultations based on positive reinforcement principles for facilities such as zoos. Training gives handlers and vets the opportunity to carry out their jobs more safely and easily and is a vital tool in animal care, birds are also mentally stimulated and enjoy the close attention they receive during training sessions.

Environmental enrichment
We can assess birds along with their enclosures and make recommendations to enhance your birds quality of life by raising levels of physical activity, stimulating natural behaviours and preventing or reducing stereotypical behaviours such as feather picking.

· Modifications to habitats

Exhibit design service
A Feathered Friends experienced specialist will work closely with your facilities staff and architects to help ensure you end up with an exhibit that is extraordinary rather then ordinary.
